It is made of eco-friendly silicone/gel material and is generally skin-friendly under normal use. For sensitive horses, introduce it gradually and observe. If redness, hair loss, or resistance occurs, stop using it and consult a vet or saddle fitter.
Choose based on your saddle size and the horse’s back length. The half pad should cover the main weight-bearing area without extending too far beyond the saddle pad. Common sizes are S / M / L / One Size; custom sizes are available.
It usually has air holes and airflow channels to help ventilation and sweat management. However, thicker versions may retain heat in hot, humid conditions. Check the back regularly and keep it clean and dry.
Rinse with warm water after each use. Use mild soap and a soft cloth if needed, then air dry in the shade.
